My musical studies began in elementary school where I took alto sax lessons and sang in the chorus for three years. I started studying drums at the age of 19 while in the U.S. Navy. I took private lessons and played in several bands. In 1988 I started college at InterAmerican University in Puerto Rico, majoring in Music Education and Percussion. I also sang in Puerto Rico's premier professional chorus, the San Juan Philharmonic. In 1991 I transferred to the University of North Texas to specialize in drum set and minor in piano. I did a lot of free lance jazz playing and also played in an all original alternative band called "Talk of Rain". I graduated from UNT in 1998. In 2001 I moved to Tampa and have played with a wide variety of bands, including "Sweet Spot". I currently play drums for the Rock-A-Doo-Wop show in Busch Gardens Africa here in Tampa, FL.
